Competitive Bidding

Collier Construction is constantly engaged in the competitive bid market. Through the competitive bid process, we will provide detailed and important information back to the owner(s) in a timely manner.

Competitive bid process includes, but is not limited to:

  • Bid Solicitation: The project’s owner(s) creates and distributes bid documents outlining project scope, specifications, timeline, and other relevant details, inviting contractors to submit bids 
  • Bid Preparation: Collier Construction reviews the bid documents, estimates project costs (labor, materials, equipment), and creates their bid proposal, including pricing and qualifications
  • Bid Submission: Collier Construction submits completed bids to the project’s owner(s) by the deadline
  • Bid Evaluation: The project’s owner(s) review submitted bids, evaluating each based-on price, qualifications, experience, compliance with project specifications, and other relevant factors
  • Bid Selection: The project’s owner(s) choose Collier Construction because the bid best met owner(s) needs based on the evaluation criteria
  • Contract Formation: Collier Construction and owner(s) negotiate and finalize the contract details, including final price and project scope, before starting construction
