This project was a new ground up, single story building. The new annex serves as the new hub for the county offices including a new judges office and meeting room for county court proceedings. The main meeting room not only serves as the court room but, it also is a fully independent tornado and severe weather shelter with a backup generator and communications for the Dickens County emergency services. The annex is constructed next to the Historical Dickens County Courthouse that was built in the late 1800’s.
The building is a structural masonry building with a mixture split face cmu, burnished cmu, glazed masonry block and cast stone. Some of the interior highlights of the building include custom stile and rail wood doors, tornado and severe weather shelter, various county offices, break room with full kitchen, audio-visual system for the courtroom and full lighting controls system with LED lighting.
